For this ode to Norah’s home: Krimpen aan den Ijsel Abel and Lars came to me with the cinematic poetry of Malick and Lubezki as inspiration for this nostalgic film. We emulated 35mm film, a natural color palette and soft shadows for this filmic-poetic tribute to coming home, identity, and the magic of unforgettable summer days.
"Together with Norah Severien’s avant-garde costume design, we wove image and emotion into a filmic-poetic tribute to coming home, identity, and the magic of unforgettable summer days." -Abel van Essen
